Sports nutrition, eating disorders, and chronic disease management Registered Dietitian who creates individualized sustainable nutritional plans based on your needs.
As a Registered Dietitian specializing in sports nutrition and eating disorders, Tala’s approach is to optimize athletic performance, address disordered eating behaviours, and support individuals in achieving their goals all while using intuitive & mindful eating approaches.
Coming from a multicultural background and immigrant to Canada, Tala brings a unique perspective that recognizes and respects various dietary practices and cultural food traditions. Having gone through her own personal health journey, she vividly remembers the first time she saw a registered dietitian herself and left feeling unheard.
Tala realized she wanted to inspire others to be able to enjoy their cultural foods while supporting their health conditions and goals. As such, she went on to pursue her master’s in nutrition communication from Toronto Metropolitan University to help allow other minorities and people of color to understand that sacrificing their food and culture is not necessary for achieving good health.
Her ultimate goal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment, tailoring her expertise to meet the unique needs of each individual, whether they are seeking enhanced performance, recovery from disordered eating, or working on sustainable and healthy life changes using intuitive & mindful eating approaches.
